I have been going to my bug out site and getting my ammunition organized (finally). Going through it, I found .380 ammunition my dad bought in 1976 (Carters Country 50 rounds of .380 ACP JHP $8.95), 32-20 Winchester, and a box of Lakewood City M-1 Carbine ammo (made 1943) I got in 1969.

I did not have firearms in those calibers for decades but I kept the ammunition. Do any of y'all keep ammo like that?

Just bought some 10mm, now I need to decide if I want to buy a gun. Have a ton of .40 S&W and don't have a gun. It is always a good idea to have ammo.

    Gunz are icky.
    Generally no.

I don't tend to keep ammo I have no firearm to utilize it in.
I'll trade it away or even sell it cheap to move it out.
Many of the odd and ends ammo I do have are reloads I made myself.
No one wants them so they sit. Unloved. In a box in the ammo cabinet. Not enough of them to mess with but I can't bring myself to just discard them.

Well, in all fairness, one would expect a FFL to have ammo for calibers not owned.

    Au contraire, mon frère!

Ye give my compulsion insufficient commendation........

I'm just crazy about that shit........

i had an open bolt 9mm a few years ago and finally sold off the ammo i had for it.

dunno how i ended up with a couple boxes of 38 super. gave it to my ffl since one of his faves was an old 1911 in the caliber.

No. I barely have room for the ammo for firearms I do own. I do have some firearms that I don't have ammo for tho. Grandpa's 16 gauge for example.

You may discover that in the new socialst states of amerika a round of ammo will be worth a loaf of bread.
Discover? HAH! When businesses are charging, what was it, $88 for 50 rounds of .380 then a round of ammo is worth a loaf of bread.

What I am waiting for is when a bottle of booze will buy me a fully automatic AK-47 like in the CSSR after the wall came down. Although I doubt we will see such deals as a T-55 tank for beer.

I had 4 boxes of .30-30 for 20 years, finally bought one a few months ago. I sometimes stumble across ammo I forgot I had, then have to decide if I want to buy another gun it will fit.
