Headed to the jobsite this morning I saw an odd sight. In desolate, open, barely paved country 2 pickups were pulled to the side of the road and 2 men standing in the ditch. Between them and the fence (10' or so) was a buck mule deer, standing and staring at them. It did glance at my truck as I went by so it was semi-coherent. I kept going and now I wish I had stopped and took a picture and asked some questions.:banghead:

Wildlife has been strange this year. I had a doe follow me into a ground blind last week.

There's a lot of deer out there that are semi-tame. They see us most of the year being non-threatening or even feeding them. Then for a couple months of the year we hide in the trees or blinds to shoot them. They never see the threat. Not that I think it's a bad thing...

I bet that deer was standing there thinking, "soooo, you guys gonna throw some corn out or what?"
