Okay, so why do we dance?

Because we're stupid...or at least some of you anyway.... Personally, I never dance, and in all honestly the reason is I think it's waste of time, and if I'm going to expend that kind of energy I'm damn well going to do it while bumping uglies with some babe.

Nope, a sample size of 1 is far too small. You'll have to get as many runs in as you can over the next year or so, log each one and average them out. I'd say 200-300 would be a decent sample size.
