I LOVE this knife. Got this from my kids for Christmas. Only custom knife I have ever had and probably only one ever will have. Great balance. Feels good in the hand. This will make a new mate for one of my Marlins. It is by David Star Custom Knives out of Crawford. Mr. Star is an LEO and a great knife maker. This is made from a file. Antler pull bead. He also made the scabbard. Asking what the wood is. I think pecan or maybe spalted pecan. The workmanship speaks for itself.

I was out rummaging in the woods near Corinth, Mississippi and we found an old abandoned barn. I mean really old with trees growing up through it.. Looking for relics and stuff when I saw the handle of this sticking out from between two beams up in what was left of a loft.
A little steel wool, oil and elbow grease. Dont know much else about it it but someone went to alot of work for a nasty home made Bowie?

Knife was given to me in 1972. It’s a “Western” brand. Still holds one heck of an edge. I grew up with it by my side. Just found it the other day when going through an old ammo box. Sheath is a 1975 shop project. Great memories! View attachment 242073

I had one just like it that my dad bought me when I was 8. Wish I knew what happened to it.

These are two very, very old Case knives that belonged to my grandfather. The tan colored bone handled one was my first pocketknife from my grandfather when I was just a youngster. He carried the red colored handled one up until his death in 1974.

I dated them some years ago, the tan colored one was made in the 1940's and the red colored one was made in the 1930's.
