That action just made me lose any respect I had for him.

Stand for your principals and phuck what anyone thinks about it.

    Why?

If he got his doubts asswaged and concerns abated, then why shouldn't he use his vote to do his part in ensuring Cackles donts win his state?

I may try to sway some of you for throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but I dontblose respect for you following your conscious. I would respect anyone less even if it was beneficial to me if they corrupt themselves.

    That place east of Waco....
How old is he? Early 20's? Who didn't have a libertarian phase when they were younger?

Voting L is still stupid though.

Voting for "small-l" libertarians (support libertarian, smaller-govt ideas) is a good idea, no matter what party they're in. I'd even say Trump has a lot of libertarian ideas, making him worthy of support.

It's the "big-L" Libertarians that support the embarrassment that the Libertarian Party has become (thanks to liberals infiltrating and twisting the Party the same way the neocons did to the Tea Party) that don't deserve any votes or consideration....

Someone can't change their mind about something? People who never change their minds are frequently those who I lose respect for. They might espouse an opinion, learn more about the subject, and change their stance.

I dont think supporting gun control is the best plan for a Republican.

Kinda shocked he has not walked back some of those positions in the last 4 years. Especially the Bump Stock ban after SCOTUS drop kicked him in the nuts.

    <.>

Kindly recall that TRUMP, too, is a recovering ex-NYC Guy.

Also remember that our choice is only BINARY !

Thirdly, other considerations aside; the immediate monster under our bed is the national debt.

A vote for ‘’Ron Paul’’ this cycle will be a vote for Kamala the Kommie.

Sure they can, but it appears to be done for the wrong reasons….social media pressure.

It depends on why they changed their mind. Did he do it because he actually had a change of heart, or because of the backlash?

He said that he changed his mind because the Trump team contacted him and offered some assurances regarding the 2A.
If I said that I was the president, would that make it true?

I doubt anyone would openly admit to changing their mind due to peer pressure. That's pretty much admitting that they lack a backbone.

Did he have an honest change of heart? I don't know. If I were in his position, I don't think whatever Trump's team told him would have been enough to change my mind. Their job is to get people to vote for him, not to be honest. Trump's record proves beyond all doubt that he's not 2A friendly. At best, he has a lack of interest in it until either supporting it or opposing it serves him in some way. You never know which way that wind is going to blow.

I think it would have been a bigger deal if Trump or his campaign came out with a public statement on 2A.

The problem with libertarianism is it exists in it own naive world. You can only be left alone if everyone else is willing to leave you alone.

Or, demand open borders in one hand and abolish the atf in another, see what the rest of the government will work towards first

Funny how people lionized this kid not too long ago. Not so much now...
Just like some idolize a good actor, I may love how Kyle handled himself in one situation and not agree with another, its not either-or, just like Trump or Tucker Carlson, Biden, Calvin, Nietzsche or Francis Schaeffer
