Large Loop Lever and Saddle Ring Install - Winchester 94ae

I've got a recent mfg Winchester 94ae w/ 24" barrel chambered in .45 Colt.

I'd like to replace the lever with a large/big loop lever and install a saddle ring.

Can anyone tell me if this is a "take it to a competent gun smith" project or a "newbie can do it" project?

Eventually I want to install a Hi-Lux Optics Leatherwood 18" 6X Wm Malcolm scope with the special side mount option.

Do you have a source for the 92 instead of the 94 for the lever loops?
