Yes. They are very busy from what I hear. I was talking to the relative that works there, and he told me that they had to sign a form that stated something like he understood that the company needed him there from 6:00am to 6:00pm, Monday through Saturday. This was for the next 18 months. There must be a lot of countries that need military trucks, I guess.

Plus we are loosing a good amount to IEDs and VBIEDs!!!

Clay, I was a Police Officer, and now I am a CHL Instructor. If you need any advice concerning the process, I will try to help any way that I can.

I appreciate it! This is my second time applying with HPD. I was almost complete last time (a years worth of work) and they got sued while I was deployed with the Army national Guard. When I got back my recruiter told me all my file was void and I had to start over.

Good luck, they always say everything happens for a reason, hopefully this is your time.

I hope so. That is the way I am viewing this situation. My original plan was if I got out of the Army I would go LE. Well, after they voided al my paper work I got frusterated and here I am 8 years later. It is time if I am ever going to do it!

I don't know if this will help, but my godson's father works for BAE systems (use to be Stewart & Stevenson) in Sealy, Tx. He told me that they are always looking for people.

I sent my resume in through the web site. We will see what happens. As a fall back I went and talked to the automotive repair shop I worked at before here. They are looking for assistant managers luckily. The interview went well and hopefully I will be getting a call. It looks like I will be going there. it will be around a 10,000.00 per year pay cut, but it is a job. Then maybe the HPD process will move along pretty fast. Last time the back ground check is what took me so long. They sent people to places I was stationed at in the Army!
