Because today's logic has nothing to do with it.

It was 1934 logic that regulated them and now no politician at the federal level has the nards to repeal the 'ban' on these hollywood assassin tools.

We are required by law to have them on our vehicles, makes sense we can't have them for something even louder

It doesn't make sense to me that in some countries in Europe you can just walk into a gun store and buy a silencer/suppressor and walk out with it.

but in the US, where we are considered the cowboys of the world for gun rights, we have to pay ten times what they are really worth, because the are restricted, then pay the gov 200 and then wait 18 months

    Back in the day . . . When people were starving. . . And the commies where infiltrating the labor unions . . . The rich people . . Who made up the .gov . . . .didn't want the po-folk . . . who were starving . . . to poach animals . . . . Without getting caught . . . . To feed their children.

Hell, they were trying to ban all handguns and machine guns from the poor people

Way back when they didn't want poachers to have them. It wasn't about assassinations.

Just think how much that $200 tax was back then.

$200.00 in 1934 had the same buying power as $3,531.05 in 2014.

How many folks here would pony up $3,531.05 on a tax stamp to get a silencer??

$200 in Obama dollars is comparable to a Happy Meal.
