    Interesting amicus brief

“Yet the brief from the criminal defense lawyers, which includes the Bronx Defenders and the Brooklyn Defender Services, argues against the state’s gun laws from a progressive position. “In 2020, while Black people made up 18% of New York’s population, they accounted for 78% of the state’s felony gun possession cases,” the brief says.”

The argument that Roberts will fall affirmative so that he can control the positive extent of the decision in the Opinion seems the most negative aspect of the case.

CAn you TLDR this for me?
    Cliff fk-in notes Puh-leeze!
Basic points, covering 2A negatives that happened last year:
    • ATF is working towards restricting 80% receivers and braces.
    • Russian ammo ban by the Biden admin.
    • Texas abortion law sets up enforcement structure being copied by anti-2A forces.
    • California magazine restrictions have been upheld which means there are a bunch of magazines in CA that were arguably legal but are now in limbo, awaiting SCOTUS ruling.

2A “legal” YouTubers are the worst. Sum that crap up and move on.
Agreed. Even my favorite YouTube lawyers (on various subjects) are too long-winded.

The reason I initially subscribed to VivaFrei was that he talked so fast that I didn't have to turn up the speed on the playback. All the others I listen to at 1.5X or faster.

As for 2A-specific legal news, I really prefer to listen to real lawyers on YouTube, not people reporting on the situation. The real lawyers sometimes get off into the weeds but at least they know how to read the legalese and read between the lines of news stories. I can't say the same for most 2A YouTubers who should just stick to shooting watermelons and being entertaining.

So nothing new in either of these videos.
