We have been stockpiling for years, I have a three car garage, practically converted into a grocery store and ammo dump. My family also has owned a large amount of land in the middle of "yougottapurdymouthville" for a long time, with a deep water well and enough septic space for multiple families. We also have a strategy for bugging out, meeting up, assignments for each member of the family once we arrive and enough seed to plant and sustain us for some time.

Ironically folks who used to call me whacko, or paranoid, are coming to myself and my father (a former Vietnam era special forces veteran) and asking for advice on survival tactics. His response is always the same. Tomorrow is too late to prepare...NOW

Enough gas to get on base (which I always have) and aeronautical charts for Canada, cuz that's where I'll defect to if the Commander in Chief orders me (active Air Force) to act against citizens, like what is happening in Libya. (I know the thread specified Egypt, but new events have sprung up since the thread started)

Seriously, my crisis plan as long as I'm on Active Duty and single is to head for base, since I know if it gets that bad, I'm gonna get called in to work and surviving in my house in the suburbs won't be a factor.
