Does a 92 barrel just drop right in? I see 96's for cheap pretty often, but rarely see cheap 92s. Seems like that'd be a great opportunity to get an inexpensive Beretta.

Yes, a 92 barrel drops right into a 96 slide (but not vice versa). However, a 92 barrel is not cheap (around $100), so you're not saving over buying a 92. But if you want to shoot both calibers, its cheaper than buying two guns. Oh, you may also need 9mm mags too. If you load 9mm into the .40 mags then sometimes the last round fails to load into the chamber.

Actually, I had been on the list since July. But I found one at a Wilson Dealer at the Reliant. Center show. So, I bought it there, and then cancelled my spot on the list last Monday.
