Shot #21-26 on a complete PSA upper mated to aero precision lower. The first box was just making sure it would reliably go bang. 1” squares.

The lower was my first build, and I’m not ready to try assembling the upper just set.

Magpul BUIS at 100 yds, Caldwell rest up front, no bags or other support for the stock. The lower 3 set windage, the upper two set elevation. Rolled back down elevation and Small shift in hold point sent the last one through the center.

Then, time ran out. I’ll take her back out on Tuesday with a TRS-25.

Post your results. I expect 2" at the most if all is well. Not the most accurate stuff but holds its own.
OK ran some 55g American Gunner through it. It responded well. First group a little bigger. Calmed it down on the second group. I noticed my AR is a 1:7 twist. Guess maybe I run some heaver bullets and check my results again.

Guncrafter 1911 CCO, .45. Freehand, 15 yards. 230 grain FMJ plinking ammo (probably CCI Blazer or Fiocchi, possibly WWB). If I remember correctly, this would be about 28 rounds from each. Fired in pairs.

Very accurate pistols, far more accurate than I am. Admittedly, this was one of my better days when I was getting more frequent range time.

Damn good shooting with a red dot

I cheated a little and bagged the gun front/back to see what I could wring out. For kicks I shot the same series with 55gr, which did not produce similar results.

Pleasantly surprised at the capability of a $300 PSA upper.

My strings all have a vertical component to them; that’s me, I’m guessing.

10rd group at 642yds with 223 ackley. Only thing in the polaris at the time for size ref was the generic redneck measuring tool.. 21" barrel running 80gr vld at 3906fps. Rifle is a surgeon 591 with a broughton barrel in a McMillan and was wearing a 3-15x50 premier at this time.

Another few with the surgeon but with the 6mm creed barrel. Running 115gr DTAC rbt bullets at 3050fps from a 28" mullerworks 4gv barrel. Target cam pic is from a mile (1760yds) shoot. Went 4 outta 5 on it with no spotter to win a side bet at a match with closest to center. 3 shot group was at 942yds on a piece of 3/16" steel that stops most everything except this lol. Last 3 shots of the day and layed one hell of a group.

Man that's some damn fine shooting.

One correction though... that is not a generic redneck measuring tool. That is a Mexican tape measure.

What's the barrel life like? I'm particularly curious since you're pushing heavy BTs like that.
I'd expect 800-1200 maybe more if I only use it hunting. It's flat out devastating on varmints. Those 90gr bergers are some little lasers and even got a better bc than the ever so popular 6mm 105gr hybrids.

Why would hunting vs target shooting make a difference in barrel life if round count is the same?
