In reality all government employees should have insurance to cover their screwups, not just cops. Who pays the court judgement now when a government employee screws up, the public. Making this just for LEO though is BS. Think about it though, why should the taxpayer pay for a government employee screw up? We, the public, provide plenty of insurance benefits to government employees, much better than my family has, we should also help provide insurance for malpractice and the individuals that screw up should have it reflected as their debt and their insurance premium so reflected. You have a bunch of suits against you, your individual insurance goes up and you pay the extra premium. You have a good record and your insurance premium is low.

Government Malpractice Insurance. I like the idea!
Arson Enabling Governors are wanting "Federal Relief" to pay for the disastrous results of their policies and leftist governance styles. No skin off their noses. The left won't agree to paying their own insurance premiums, in their grandiose schemes they know that as "the cost of doing business" and the taxpayers gonna just have to suck it up.
