Light loads for a 308 AR

I'm trying to find some data on a light load for the 308 AR the wife is using.

I've ordered a box of 125g Honady but am concerned about short-strocking and feed problems.

Any experience doing this?


Right now the 168g Barnes I'm using is a little jumpy for her. I'm thinking she just needs some trigger time as she shoots the model 29 44M just fine.

This is kind of a stop-gap, confidence booster initiative.

Mitch, you might consider Remington's "Managed Recoil" ammunition as well. I can't help you with short stroking, as I haven't experimented with lighter loads in my 308 AR, but I am sure you can make some changes to the buffer spring and weight to soften the recoil (but I would think a combo of light loads and a heavier spring and/or buffer might indeed induce short stroking).
