At some point, and not too long either, I expect all this and a forever AWB once the Dems capture both Congress and the Oval Office.

Sad really. For once in a great while, the US is in a position to change for the better, but social media and mainstream are keeping the masses ignorant. We have three more years, then I see US going down a slippery, steep slope of communism.

"Meh. Who cares? We should let them regulate <insert thingamajiggy here> because I don't want to lose my guns due to these stupid semi-automatic toys. Who needs to own something like them? Ya can't hunt with them. Let them ban, I got mine already."

Seen these and similar comments from various "gun rights" orgs and online personalities and even here on this forum. Thanks a bunch, NRA and backstabbers.

They had that with the last POTUS at first, they had the oval office and the senate during Sandy Hook. Luckily our government is very inefficient and politicians love to posture and speak out in a manner very different than their actions.

Then again, the republicans can't seem to pass any legislation that they all campaigned on, so maybe they will pass a bump stock ban. That would be keeping on par with doing the opposite of everything they said they would do. No idea if POTUS would veto or sign.

The silly thing is if they do pass an AWB, bump stock ban, a ban on every single part or attachment that can possibly increase the ROF of semi-automatics, the only guns NOT affected would be real deal machineguns. Because every one of those proposed laws exempts MGs or specifically targets semi-automatic firearms.

They had the Senate yes, but not the House. The Dems are much more lockstep then the R's are and will have this whole question of guns answered as soon as they have their majorities in Congress and the Presidency.
