I’d love to see the desert.

I am from EP and living up in Michigan now. Best place I ever lived for shooting because you can just drive out into the desert. Pretty great dove hunting, too. Hell, if my wife didn't hate living there I would still live there.

I was there until November 2021. Was a member of the Bliss Rod and Gun Club and would shoot there. Heading to El Paso Skydive would see people setup off the road shooting into the moutainside. Not sure if private or public, but always seemed to be several groups there. I bought some ammo from Angerl71rs in El Paso, never did get to shoot with him, though.

I drove asphalt oil and sand out that way believe it or not I really enjoyed the ride from brownwood to ep I want to buy some land out there.
20 acres put a pad on it and take a rv out there from Time to time..

And do some long range shooting

Columbus NM is cool. Pershing launched the punitive action campaign from there.
Army Air Corp beginnings.
Awesome museum.

My wife is German & loves it here. Something to do with sunshine & lack of dreary, gray, days. On the other hand, she likes Korean cars, quality American beer, Russian rifles, corn. I'm sure Germany has a hit squad out to take her passport based on that

I did it twice to visit my dad as he lives there and I live in Houston area. the most boring drive is between Fort Stockton and El Paso.
