    I still own and shoot a Llama 1911 45 that I got in 1977.
Shoots great but won't feed wad cutters.
It is my bedside gun, always shoots and is accurate

I have one of their "newer" .380s (purchased used in 2012). It is falling apart and I have not even fired a whole box of rounds through it. Replaced the front sight (it was missing when I bought it), the detents for the slide stop and the safety are cockeyed, and the slide feels loose.

if it is the smaller one, its like my .380. I cannot speak directly to the .22, but my .380 runs fine. My Baby Rock .380 is almost identical internally, so the design is good in my opinion.

    Ammo finicky.
    Parts difficult to unobtainium.
If it's ammo finicky, then it probably is like every semi-auto pistol in 22 LR that I have ever shot. Some are less finicky and others are more so. With the ones that are less finicky, it is usually due to the ammo; with the more finicky ones, while it can be due to some of the ammo, it is often also due to the gun itself.

I've seen Llamas in 22 LR selling at gun shows for $400 to well over $500.00. Apparently at least one dealer whom I have seen selling them, actually got rid of a couple of the at one show as they were gone at the end of the show (I went to his table at closing time and was going to try to get him down in price but they were among the missing). His were right up there in asking price too, way to much.

Nice discovery! This was the first handgun I ever owned, bought from a fellow MP when I was stationed in Germany. Shot it a lot but ended up selling it to someone who really wanted it. IIRC it handled everything I fed it and was accurate enough to keep shooting it. Kinda wish I still had it.

Carried one in .32 acp in the late 60s over 'there'. Was accurate and dependable with euro ammo. Preferred it to a Walther .22 PP that jammed too often. In a re-purposed kids cap gun shoulder holster. Had a real surplus 'Eisenhower' jacket back then too. Memories...

I never had a Llama but picked up a Star model D a couple years ago. The D is what the Colt mustang, sig 238 and the others are based on. Nice gun . Star made a lot of the Colt receivers at one time.

Fits in with my 380 government and sig 238.
