I spent a bunch of hours at my place in Forestburg waiting on a single hog that never showed. I found one set of very fresh tracks at my place, but the game camera showed nothing. Still, I was hopeful and apparently way too optimistic. Dave's buddies were pretty tired after two nights of hunting and wanted to shut down early and Dave said I could come out and he and I would finish the night checking his properties. Somewhere in my commute west, the weather went south, first with fog, then light mist, then heavy, and we finally called it quits when the mist was so heavy, it was like it was raining tiny drops of water. Visibility tanked and we were getting soaked. Fortunately, we managed to get on this hog before things got too bad...
