A co-worker says they're pretty heavy on lowriders but the website shows slammed rides which is different IMO. Anyone been to past shows and if so, was it worth it?

    I don't have any money so I'm not a buyer. :(

This is a great show if you’re into big trucks with fancy lifts and oversized billet wheels, slammed vehicles on oversized billet wheels, a touch of old rides with modern running gear, and a sprinkling of everything in between. This is not a show for the purists, in my humble opinion, but it is a great gathering of some of our regions radical rides. I’m pretty specific when it comes to what I like in a car show (pre 1962 traditional hot rods and customs such as the Lonestar Roundup), but I still enjoy this event when I can make it. The website doesn’t say it, but kids 12 and under are free. I plan to attend Saturday morning with a few friends.

The Convention Center parking lot was a pre-show detailing area late this afternoon. On a business call and I missed some slammed rides being unloaded and moved around but caught these two. I drove by the "Show Area" (next post) and saw one slammed Caddy; definitely a truck heavy show based on website and what I saw today.

I suspect there is more show area to the right of "Throwdown" and probably above "Flag" too which I noted because it's tall as hell and a good reference point to be seen from most anywhere on the South side of the complex. While I didn't walk it the Parking area appeared rather muddy so leave your Bruno Magli's in the Veyron.
