Are there any CZ75 Compact guru's here?

I am considering adding a CZ75BD Compact or P-01 to my list. I want a carry version of my SP-01. But I don't know very much about the CZ compacts. I don't like rails on carry guns if I can avoid it. Does the 75DB have an aluminum frame like the P-01? If you were going to get a CZ to carry, what would you want?

    Thanx!

I dont know much about CZs but i like rails on my carry i always keep a tac light in my car and in my nite stand for home duty or anything else, I dont think it slows my draw or adds room I think it adds versatility, just my opinon i hope it helps. I do hear alot of people say CZs are a dependable weopan and should do ya right.

Thanx for the reply. I been looking at the CZ-USA site and czforum site trying to gather info. Looks like the P-01 is in use by a lot of LEO's. The 2075 Rami really looks like what I am looking for. (If the grip isn't too short)

I think 308nato has one, maybe he will chime in and share some info.:)

I call myself the CZ Guy but only have experience in the model 75 and 85, which I carried on duty every day since from 1987 until I retired in '05. I owned a model 83 for a short time but it was way too big for a .380 so I traded it off.

I cannot say enough about the reliability or accuracy of a CZ pistol. I trusted mine without reservation, so if they make it, I would consider it top of the line.

But, when wanting something for off-duty that I could hide easily, I chose the Kahr PM9.

Thanx, I've been doing as much reading as I could today.

I had a Kahr PM 9 and traded it away. I guess I just don't care for DAO guns. I like DA/SA the best and the RAMI and the CZ 75 BD Compact both seem to be availavble in DA/SA. I really like my full size 75 so I just need to try to find some to fondle before deciding between these two.

I have had the CZ Rami for about two years now with alloy frame
    not the poly in 9mm.
I also have the 14rd mags that are a little longer so all your fingers fit
good, fully loaded some say that it to heavy to carry but I have'nt
    had any problems with that.
I have put about 3000 rds threw it without any failures.
I would stay away from the 40 cal. because they have had a lot of
    feed problems with those.
Jeff at Shiloh got one with the poly frame and loves it, even had the slide
    chromed .
I carry mine every where knowing it works great.
If your in the Houston area we can meet up at Shiloh and you can try mine.

My son was looking for a DA/SA 9mm compact pistol for carry a couple of years afo so Santa Dad picked up a CZ75BD Compact in Houston. He absolutely loves the gun and can shoot it quite well. He will attend his CHL class this month with it as dear old Dad renews his. I have shot the gun myself and it is a very nice gun and very easy to shoot. He prefers the decocker over cocked & locked carry. I am happy that he is happy. I would highly recommend the gun to anyone.

Since the Rami is a DA/SA you dont need to carry it cocked and locked
unless you want to , I carry mine at half cock that makes the D/A
trigger pull a little shorter and I dont have to fiddle around with the
safety if I have to pull it.
