Looking for advice on a versatile efficient lantern?

So I am looking for a durable and efficient lantern. But it doesn't stop there. Ideally, it would be one you can charge and/or use removeable batteries. Meaning, if I plugged it into a generator, it can recharge, or if I plug a pack of batteries, it will run as well. I prefer something that can be dimmed also. If there are any features you guys feel are important to include that I missed, feel free to add to this thread.

Any advice on a good product that meets my expectations?

Also, if there was a thread asking this awhile back, I couldn't find it. So my apologies if this is a redundant question.

Look at this one. I got it about 2 years ago, have had no problems. The 4 LED panels come off for a more portable light. Each panel has it's own batteries. And the main power source is 8 D-Cells. If you look around the price is better.

I've seen that one and it looked pretty good. Can you dim the light on it?
