It won't be hard to shoot, but it may have a long, hard double action trigger. I have a couple of these and they are great in a pocket or IWB holster.I just picked up an H&R 733 32s&w long. I haven't had a chance to try it out yet. Hoping for this weekend.

There isn’t much of anything between the NAA mini’s and a J frame S&W size wise.
I carry a NAA in .22mag frequently. Its super small and light.
I found the J frames a tad too large and heavy but my experience is with the all steel guns. The modern alloy frame guns are much lighter.
Ruger now makes the polymer framed revolvers but they seem larger than a J frame.
Any of the calibers you mentioned are good to go for SD purposes.
