    Hello, All!

I recently inherited a Model 29 from my grandfather and am looking to sell it. As far as I know it has never been fired (still in the box). I didn’t want to take it to a gun store or pawn shop because I knew I’d get ripped off. I also have another revolver for sell (I’ll have to look at it to see what it is). Anyway, anyone interested?

If'n he were to start a conversation on the benefits of a discussion on the merits of a revolver on a gun forum in Texas, he'd be at 60 or so posts in less than a week.

Then we could possibly, or even, maybe, have a slight inklin' of some minor interest. Or not. Maybe. It depends.

Don't sell your Grandfather's revolver. Keep it as an heirloom. You'll regret it later if you sell it.
    This,,,,,
I doubt your grandfather gave it to you to sell. He probably wanted you to have something that was his as a keepsake.
And this are 2 very good pieces of advice.

Regardless of the OP's intent, a 29 is a sweet ride. I spent a long time looking for one and I am not disappointed.

I received the .44 after his death, as nobody else wanted it. I have his .357 and Remington that we shot one my first trip to the gun range many years ago. The .44 does not hold any special memories and has never been used.

Got some pics? I'd love to see it.

I can understand it not having any real sentimental value for you, but is there any reason you won't consider keeping it? I have a 629 (stainless version of the 29) and it's an absolute treat to shoot, and 44 mag is probably one of the most versatile cartridges out there, especially for the reloader. They are amazingly well made guns with a reputation for accuracy. Mine is the last gun I would ever sell.

Don't sell it. You will live to regret it. It's something your grandfather touched, valued and cared for. It's a connection to HIM.

What do you want for it?

Here’s a couple of images. Just trying to get the best offer honestly. A fair price.
