I don't get why the safety bothers people. It doesn't bother me at all. Either use it or don't. It's not like it's in the way, at least not for me.

Its pretty easy to accidently activate. Doesnt matter as it is my wifes gun, but i use it more than she has.

My M&P9FS has no safey and I want it for consistency between the 2. I want to have exactly the same controls on both.

Its pretty easy to accidently activate. Doesnt matter as it is my wifes gun, but i use it more than she has.

I can see how that maybe a problem for some. I train to flip the safety off as I draw.

Wow. I held out for a non safety model and just gave in last month and bought one with the safety.

Not too happy with mine. Shoots about 8" groups from a rest at 7 yards.

I shot it with the same ammo which groups 1/2 inch at the same distance from a 1911 chambered in 9 mm.

I have not, but why would the Shield perform so poorly with ammo that delivers superb accuracy in a 1911 platform?

I am talking Winchester White Box, 115 grain FMJ -- the gold standard for range ammo.

Let us not get into a discussion of range ammo -- SD ammo is another thing altogether.

Different guns shoot different ammo differently. Like your Shield and mine might prefer different ammo.

I noticed my groups are better with 124gr vs 115
