    No of course not. That is a great looking stock.

    The M1A is an expensive rifle. However it does have to break your bank at once. Start by getting a good receiver. LBR Arms http://www.lrbarms.com/ or Springfield Arms. If you can find an old Armscorp USA one those are real good too. You will need to know what kind of receiver you want. I suggest a rear lugged one. I thing double lugged is over kill myself. After you get a receiver start collecting parts. Either on line of gun shows. I likein it to a muscle car restoration. The adventure of collecting the parts makes my M1As very personal. After you get all the parts send them to Phil Arrington http://www.arringtonaccuracy.com/ . The M1A is not like an AR15. You realling need a good gunsmith to put the pieces together. If fact I suggest you email Mr Arrington and bend his ear. Good luck
