Interesting, I had not thought about the 40 changing the way mags were designed.

Very interesting. The ideal width for a 9 mm magazine was a concept I hadn’t heard of. I’ve commented in other threads about the Steyr GB I bought back in 85. It has 18 round magazines (unheard of at the time) but they also are fed straight in like a rifle magazine. Clearly wider than he talks about in the video but this is probably the most reliable semi auto I own.
