you can never have too many mags.

    +1!

1911: at least a dozen, but of course they're interchangeable between the three different 1911's I have now. Buy another couple of Wilson 47D's whenever they're a good sale price at gun shows.

FN FAL: 6 or 7 20-rounders but I buy more every time I find some reasonably priced at gun shows.

    AMT Backup: 2

All the rest of my guns just have whatever they came with.

I've got 11. Some are rebuilt with Tripp kits, some just Wolff XP springs. Some 7 round (started that way or are now after the Tripp kits) and some are 8 round using the replacement XP Wolff's.

I try to keep 2 of the 8 rounders that I feel the most reliable ready and loaded for carry.

Never less than six for a carry gun or any gun you think you might carry one day. However I agree that all things considered there can never be to many mags.

    HK MSG-90 Clone: 5 - 20 rounders

    1 - 10 round wilson
    1 - 10 round Cobramag (Tripp research)
    2 - 8 rounders - cobramag
two dozen or so 8 rounders between 1 Kimber, 2 colts and
    of course Wilson 47Ds.

I've heard rumors that you can have too many, but until I can't close the closest door I don't buy into that. I also don't like to reload at matches and can't resist good bulk buys.

    I got:

    8 x 10 rnd for Glock 17/34
35 x 17 rnd for GLock 17/34 (11 with extended base plates to work with the magwell on the race gun)
    10 x 10+2 Glock 26
    2 x 10 Glock 26
    15 x 13 Glock 21SF
    11 x 10 Glock 30
    8 various sppedloaders for a S+W Mod 28
    9 Ruger Mk. II mags
    14 RUger 10/22 Mags
    5 x 10 rnd M1A mags
    20 x 20 rnd M1A mags
    14 x 20 rnd AR15 mags
    34 x 30 GI Surplus AR mags
    10 Magpul PMAGS
20 x 30 round AR mags rebuilt with Magpul followers and ranger base plates
    10 x 10 rnd mags for AICS in .308
    4 x 5 rnd mags for AICS in .308
    15 x 20 steel HK91 mags
and last but not least because they were $1 a piece on a group buy where a guy dropped out after I ordered them:
    145 x 20 surplus G3 mags

I figure there is probably more as I tend to accumulate and squirrel away stuff for things I used to own or may own in the future.

    Out here by the lake!
I was just thinking about what I would need to feed my H&K51 once I had it. I guess 10 20 rounders @ $70.00 would be a good start. The RTDS 40 rnd mag looks cool, but I aint sure it's worth $79.00. Wish Beta would get off their ass on a c-mag for it.

Very few people will ever know the extent of my firearms and accessories. As for magazines I might be able to fit them all into a shoebox or they may be the sole reason I bought that last 8'x24' cargo box.

Of course you can't have enough. Before I bought my P7M8 I was buying as many mags as I could before they blew up in price. I think I have 8 for that gun. I figured sine H&K stopped making it I needed extras. Kills me I could have have bought a nice gun for the price of those mags.
