I never thought I'd say the word "pretty" referring to spent bullets. I guess you would need to spray some clear on them to keep the lead bright(?)

Might also Flitz the bullets beforehand to try for a cleaner end result on at least one side. Anybody recognize the bullets? Might save on research to know what expands best in water beforehand. (I know hollow points, LOL, wanted to know manufacturer.)

There's a tag below the photo that says fed HST. I guess thats the round?

Damn I should have saved some of the old black talons. I don't even remember what I did with them. But those are 45 in the pic. I had 9mm.


Hold up.....make some with 9mm and 45. Get the bochet thing going.....hmmmm

I had a friend who became the Sheriff of Bosque county. He shot the old black talons into a 55gallon drum filled with water. Just to see if they would "claw out". Which they would. Bullets only go about a foot down. Mythbusters proved that. 50BMG went like 3' down.
