MIDLAND, Texas (AP) - A Monahans man faces up to 30 years in
federal prison after jurors convicted him of filming a minor at a
tanning salon.
A jury found Alan Steen guilty of sexual exploitation Wednesday.
His sentencing was scheduled for Jan. 6.
Steen was initially arrested on allegations of filming an adult
in April at the Odessa salon. Police found a video that depicted a
teenager, which led to the federal charge.
Steen's attorney, Dan Cogdell, told the Odessa American that he
will appeal the conviction after sentencing.
Steen has also been indicted on state charges - improper visual
recording - involving two women he allegedly filmed at the salon.
