CORPUS CHRISTI - A man accused of injuring a child by dipping the boy in hot water in April plead guilty Friday.
The court assessed 19-year-old Carlos Lopez's punishment at seven years in jail. He is getting 185 days credit for time that he has served.
The 20-month-old baby suffered second degree burns to more than 50 percent of his body at a home on Anthony Street. He recently underwent skin graft surgery and is said to be doing better.
