    my rock island tac in nickel the finish is gone
    on my carry side from the beaver tail
    down to the end of the grip:
    now it is startting to rust.
    i edc it and owb so it rubs on skin is this
    a manufacture error or on me to fix

    If I had a nickel for every.. just kidding, I'd call them up and ask about warranty , won't hurt. If not go with a duracoat or better Cerakote

    If you still want the silver finish, I HIGHLY recommend Robar NP3. It's expensive, but you won't have to have the gun refinished again, and you won't ever have to worry about corrosion. Well worth the cost IMO:

    You'd probably be looking at ~$200-250 for the whole gun. If you have just the slide and frame done, it may be less, I'm not sure. Trust me, it's well worth it for the piece of mind. I would just make sure to do any upgrades you plan on doing, new components fitted, etc before having the finish done.
