I have a Marlin/Glenfield M-60 that I bought in high school in about 1976. I have probably shot 75,000 rounds through it. It is pretty much worn out now but still shoots ok. The barrel is loose in the receiver but the sights are on the barrel so it does not effect accuracy much. I have retired it and shoot the 10/22 now.

I go tmy Marlin 60 in 6th grade-- It didn't have then scope then, but it was a champ at putting fuzzy tailed rats on the table..Many of sunday squirrel and dumplings I ate thanks to this little. Keep her clean, ad she eats just about anything I put through it... I have since bought several other .22s-- my "latest" was an Armscor Model 20P--

When my oldest boy is in sixth grade (next year) I will probably hand my Marlin down to him...
