"“The provision passed by the legislature allows for excessive punishment including life imprisonment,” The Gun Owners Action League of Massachusetts (GOAL) warned ahead of Polito’s signature, “with a minimum sentence of 18 months, for the mere possession of these accessories.”"

Pretty serious... Also they don't allow for selling of the bump stocks to people out of state. They must be destroyed....

So, any lawsuits coming or will the citizens there just destroy / sell their stuff quietly?

Also surprised it wasn't Kommifornia first, or at least NY or DC.

I can maybe see fighting the requirement to destroy a legally purchased product.

I think it would be a tough case to win from the 2A standpoint.

Yeah, that clears it all up. Wouldn't be easier just saying what is legal and anything else is not?

California saves that for their handgun roster. Not on the roster? No buying from a dealer. And they get to decide what is on the roster in the name of safety. After a sizable fee paid by the manufacturer to test each model of course.

I assume it's illegal for Texans to travel to California.
I remember reading it was illegal for CA state or local employees to go to states on a ban list. (yes, TX is on the ban list- reportedly for not cow-towing to the gay mafia), unless it's for a conference or other work-related travel that can't go to a non-ban state.

    yep, here it is: http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...texas-3-other-states-over-anti-lgbt-laws.html

it's a classic example of a worthless "feel-good" POS legislation written by a POS legislator and passed in a POS legislation system.
