Found this today. Looks like a nice one and from what I can tell may be a bit rare. Model 28 Highway Patrolman in a nickel finish. Serial number is S 183XXX.
Anyone know what this is? I cant fine any info on a nickel model 28.
    any info would be appreciated.
It looks like the nickel is peeling on the front of the cylinder. Back in the 70's a lot of my fellow officers carried nickel 28's and nickel troopers, they like the way the red and blue lights flashed off of them at night. Plus officers back then carried something nice out of a throwback to the gunslinger days. The 28 is one hell of a gun, almost indestructable.

I have a 6" Model 28 Highway Patrolman, blued of course. I have never seen a nickel or stainless one.
I don't shoot it much nowadays, I tend to go to my Cimarron Frontier (Pietta) when I shoot .357mag.
