...he is the last surviving Medal Of Honor recipient from WWII but is living out his last days in a hospital. His family has requested prayers be said for him. If not the praying type, maybe at least give him a thought or two today and in those days he has left. I think him worthy of either.

At the battle of Iwo Jima, then Corporal Williams, single handed, wiped out several machine gun emplacements with a flamethrower. More about him here: https://www.usmcu.edu/Research/Mari...ipients-By-Unit/Cpl-Hershel-Woodrow-Williams/

Always amazes me, when I read about someone who does something like he did, in as much as they don't get killed or sometimes even wounded while doing it. Evidently he was uninjured in his repeated assaults of enemy machine guns and gunners; while he got a Purple Heart, it was for an injury in combat months after this one.

I reckon he don't need any help getting to heaven.
But I've said some words and hope it eases the pain for his survivors.
    Iwo Jima hero . Wow.
    God speed Mr. Williams. Sir.

They'll need to cordon off a section of heaven soon. That military reunion is gonna be a bit rowdy.
