Meets for the rest of the year

Generally this time of year we stop hosing the meets because of the holidays and hunting season. Let me know everyones input on this. Also do you all wanna have a big kick off the new year meet/BBQ? Takes some planning so something to start thinking about.

That sounds good. Right now it doesn't look like it's going to stop raining long enough for a meet anyway.

Agreed, it usually helps gather support for the meets in general also.

Also a few months to spread the word usually helps to gain maximum attendance.

Like February? Keeps the coldest month out of it. We could probably do it at Lonestar if John and the people are ok with it, or we could do it at Bexar they were always ok with notice. Let me know, figure around the first week or so.

Feb works- Either place is pretty central for the rest of the state. I do thing Bexar has a nicer yard/meeting area.

Also once the big start up is done I think it would be great to get monthly shoots going. I will be free to start doing the Austin meets.

Either works for me, I wouldnt mind giving lonestar a try but Bexar has always supported the meets as well.

My only three concerns for lonestar are 1)RAIN 2) Where would the people hang out. They dont really have much of a grassy area. 3)Parking, it would not take much to load them up.

So aside from the venues, the potluck BBQ's have worked well, opinions?

I like the pot lucks. It is a bit more to organize but usually worth it.

Pot lucks keep people from having to shell out alot of cash. Damn sitting in a class all week will wear you out...

Potlucks do seem to work pretty well.
