Mexican detained with anti-aircraft machine gun

Cruz said the confiscated .50-caliber, anti-aircraft machine gun can fire 800 rounds per minute and is capable of penetrating armor from more than 5,000 feet (1,500 meters).

    Damn that "gun show loophole"...

Mexican drug cartels, battling a fierce crackdown by soldiers and federal police, have increasingly gotten hold of higher-powered weapons, even military-grade arms such as grenades and machine guns. That has left police—particularly state and municipal forces—grossly outgunned, and many officers have quit following attacks.

What weapons can I purchase that grossly outgun the police?
Do the police not have the ability to shop for guns at Academy?

I know, preaching to the choir...

Looks like a 1919, not a .50 cal. But hey, since when does Mexico or the media care about getting the facts straight.

    Lol, you're right. It's a 1919.

Why do they have a suspect standing next to a loaded machine gun!? I knew they were idiots south of the border, but I didn't realize anybody could be that stupid.
