    Just curious as to how many of us here have a military back ground... If so how long, what service and what MOS?

    8 years USMC 1833 (Amphibious Assault)
    Crewman/Crewchief/Section Leader/MOS Instructor
    Basic Marksmanship Coach/PMI
    Base Range Saftey Inspector
    Foreign Weapons Instructor
    Joint Service Shotgun Instructor Trainer.... and a few more billets

    2 years and counting Texas Army National Guard
    13F (Forward Observer)
    79T (recruiting and Retention NCO)

    Served as both a Team and Squad leader, schooled in NBC Defense and was part of the MSPF

    3yrs Active Army
    11B/ Joint Security Area, United Nations Council Security Battalion/ 2-29th Infantry (TraDoc)
    Served as a Team Leader, Squad Leader, HQ platoon SGT
    Also spent time as an Armorer, NBC NCO, Commo NCO, Supply NCO, etc... basically a man of many skills, also ran all the PMI's for the company.
    At the 29th I was range cadre for Fort Benning that taught Infantry Basic training and Basic Officers Leadership Course on Convoy Live Fire.

    1 1/2yrs so far in as an Intelligence Analyst in the 344th Psychological Operations company here in Austin, Also the Re-enlistment NCO, etc... also dreading being made Platoon SGT for the Product and Analysis Detachment... I hate paperwork.

    6-1/2 Years Idaho Army National Guard.

    3 years as an M1A1 Abrams Battle Tank Driver
    3-1/2 years as a Cavalry Scout
    1-1/2 of my Cav Scout years were spent in Kirkuk Iraq.

    I enjoy it and I work at my local unit armory as a supply technician.

    2 years on the Czech border as Operations Sgt.
    1 year as a Drill Sgt
    Rest spent in G-3 operations teaching light weapons and tactics.

    Originally drafted but re-uped later.
    Staff Sgt when discharged.
    Discharged 3 months before they went to V.N.

    I was glad to get out but I have often missed the military since then.
