Where does a mini draco fall in the NFA world, when it has a forward grip BUT NO STOCK? still a pistol? or is it an AOW, or is it an SBR?

If your'e referring to a vertical foregrip, it'd be an AOW, like any pistol with a vertical foregrip.

    Your question is kinda ambiguous.

my bad, didnt mean it to be but yes, a vertical forward grip, but your reply brings me to wonder if a angled grip like the magpul one is considered different? or is it the same as a vertical one ?

according to the atf the magpul angled grip is perfectly legal on a pistol the topic has been discussed many times on ar-15 boards and there are the atf ruling letters attached in most the threads on the subject

    Helotes!
It's still a pistol, just slightly shorter than the regular Draco.

    Here's a pic...

    And here's a "standard" Draco...

So other than a shorter barrel, gas system, handguard, etc; there's really not much difference.

    Here's a better comparison...

I still think the mini's are ugly.

They have a smaller gas tube and a rubber buffer in the end of the receiver, the latter is of concern to some AK enthusiasts.

I've also read of one incident where someone's hand slipped off the small handguard and almost in front of the muzzle! :ohnoes:
