She really has her history mixed up. Castro was involved in the Cuban revolution from the get-go. I can't decide if she's simply ignorant, stupid or duplicitous on that count.

LOL at Ernesto being a great leader... the US actually lobbied many countries successfully so that they wouldn't kill him (Bolivia ignored us) because it was too funny to see him run around and fail miserably. It really was much better having him run around and look like the idiotic fool he was rather than kill him and make a martyr out of him... Ahh, hindsight.

I think its interesting that She sees redemption and higher status in her race not by its actions but from the actions of this one man. Rational thinking is not in the cards for this person. Power through guilt certainly is.
