Has the 1934 NFA been repealed? Saw these in ad for Gallery of Guns. Small club type grip and 14.375" barrel. Last time I looked, shotgun barrels couldn't be shorter than 18". What gives?

It follows the rules kind of like you can have a vertical grip on a 26+" AR pistol.

It was never a shotgun as its never had a stock on it.

and Texas had to pass a law so they are legal here too

Its not a pistol its a firearm. Definition of a shot gun includes a shoulder stock. This gun and also any factory pistol grip only are not shotguns.

Seriously, do a quick search as there are several threads re the shockwave and even the recent legislative action to adjust Texas definition to make it, and any future changes to suppressors NFA status, clearly legal in Texas.

Cliff notes...Its federally defined as a firearm not a shotgun or pistol grip only shotgun or DD thus as long as it meets a minimum length it's legal. That legal definition change last year made it also legal in Texas. But dont conceal it on your person because then it becomes magically delicious, and morphs into one of the other categories.

The simple fact it's not a SBS or AOW shows the absolute lunacy of gun laws.

It will indeed accept a regular stock...just woe to anyone that gets caught as it suddenly becomes a SBS at that point.

You are also NOT allowed to install a birdshead grip on your regular shotgun and cut barrel below 18".

Also from what I recall, installing a regular pistol grip on a Shockwave is a no-no if your jurisdiction doesn't allow smoothbore pistols.
