Welcome to the forum, I grew up in the Corpus area (Aransas Pass/Rockport). Maybe I'll hit you up when we go down to visit but google The Sharp Shooter, I think they're off of Staples but might be Airline, nice shop with an indoor range and they have rental guns available.

The gun club is pretty affordable, but it's at the opposite end of corpus.

Are you talking about the Corpus Christi Big Game Club or whatever it's called? Wasn't sure if they were still around, my dad took me out there awhile back to shoot skeet with a buddy of his who was a member. I slightly recall the place but do remember it being quite a drive but a pretty cool range.

Also if you're ever down in the Aransas Pass area there's an outdoor range there called Schwenke's rifle and pistol range but you have to be a member, if you go there enough it's not a bad deal.

The Pistol and Rifle club will be quite aways from TAMUCC. The Sharpshooter is an indoor range. I shoot there when using handguns because you don't have to wait for a cold range to change your target. It's on a line that you control yourself. It's loud and smokey tho. I shoot rifles at Starry which is only a 100 yd range and is outdoors. They also have matches out there on the left hand side of the range. You can shot handguns, rifles, and shotguns there. The Pistol and Rifle club is the one best suited for shotguns.
The sharpshooter and starry aren't that far from the university.

Unless it changed the sharp shooter is 50 yard rifle. Either that or it explains why my rifle was shooting high...

It's your average gun range, expensive like everything else in this town. I haven't been there in a while. No real issues with the range. I just had this dumb kid show me a consigned sig, would have bought it, but he kept on dry firing it, and waving it around... The dang thing is he knew quite a bit, except where not to point a gun...

Realistically modern pawn has a much better assortment of guns, plus the guys there are better salesmen and don't point guns at you...

When I was in CC for vacation I went to the Sharpshooter to shoot. The ventilation was so bad I left without shooting. They also have cheesy wires with clips hanging down to clip the targets to.
