Have you fellas tried making your own black powder?
There are a few videos on YouTube on how to do it.

Personally, I had some success making my own.
I reloaded my homemade BP in 12 ga and in 7.62x54R with some success.

Mixed in the proper proportions, the ingredients are:
    - Charcoal (Willow, Pine, or Alderwood)
    - Stump Killer (Potassium Nitrate)
    - Sulfur (buy by the pound on Ebay)
    - Denatured alcohol

Fairly easy to do using the outdoor stovetop method and patience.

I'm all about rolling my own, but I'd much rather buy a bottle than trying to make it. This sucks for BP shooters and I just picked up a CVA Wolf and Optima. I stocked up on BP items when Camping World finally got rid of their firearms business.

I made a small amount of BP as a kid. One of my best friends was a chem lab assistant and had access to the high grade ingredients, so I suppose we got a bit of a head start. But it did seem to turn out right. Never test fired any though.

I could see making it at home, as long as proper procedures and all that were followed. That might unfortunately be the future.

    I’ve made some. Years ago.
Really just to see if I could.
    Total P.I.T.A.
BP will still be available just more expensive brands.
The Civ War and other re-enacting groups are gonna get hit hard.

Maybe I'm being overly optimistic, but I suspect Swiss will end up "picking up the slack"...
A lot of shooters were switching over anyhow, based on Swiss's reputation for quality and accuracy.

Some future dumbocrat administration will ban black powder imports to "save the children" and then that source will be gone.

Yep. Them and Schuetzen. Swiss has always been pricier than Goex.

Have you ever heard the "secret to being a millionaire"?
The answer is simple, but at the same time challenging... the secret is:

Identify the problem, and YOU be the solution.

I see that the lack of BP and other firearm components as the problem.
The first person to properly supply the masses with much-needed components (the solution) can reap the benefits.
