Multiple state CHLs - who and why?

Curious of anyone here has gone the route of getting another state's permit to compliment their TX CHL.

If so, how and why?

I haven't, but know several people who have. Florida and Utah licenses are popular because they're cheap, easy to get and they give you reciprocal coverage in a few states that the Texas license doesn't offer.

I've got a Pa. permit that was cheap by sending them a copy of my CHL. that way I have overlapping coverage when renewing.
