There is a Texas music festival in Waxahachie this weekend. My uncle is getting a star on the square (Farrell Morris) and this guy is staying in my mom's pool house.



We saw Ray Wylie Hubbard last night. Not a fan of his though.

I love this song. Heard it first from REK, but I found Terry's version on YouTube.

Ditto on RWH, though his explanation of Redneck Mother is pretty funny.

In the mid-late 70s I quit listening to current music. Oldie stations were readily available & that's what I tuned to. In 1984, at a campfire at Philmont Scout Ranch, a staff member played & sang this song (1st time I'd ever heard it) & I was blown away. When I went home, I reset the buttons on my AM/FM/8 track.
