I’d like to get some opinions on muzzle breaks or compensater for 5.56 16” barrel. Some people will prefer a brand vs the next but I’m just wanting light weight and low recoil.

Do you want a brake or a compensator? They each have different purposes and uses. Is this going on an AR? If so, how much more recoil are you trying to eliminate? Could try a heavier buffer or captured buffer or an adjustable gas block. A compensator will negate muzzle rise to allow faster follow on shots.
