My email to the DPS

Rene,
I am writing to inquire about my CHL application. I am curious as to when
I might receive a notification of license issued. According to my records,
the DPS received my packet and payment on 3/9/09. My status changed
to “Processing Application” on 4/14/09. Please know that I understand that
your agency in inundated with applicants and delays are to be expected.
Does the 60 days start when the DPS receives the packet or when the
Pin # is issued? Any information that you can provide will be greatly
appreciated.

I hope this email was polite enough and might possibly get my license to my mailbox sooner, but I doubt it. Anyone else get a faster response by emailing the DPS?

Sounds polite enough, not sure if it will speed anything up, but polite yes.

Edit: I emailed earlier today trying to get a PIN and this is the reply from them

"Your application has not been entered into the system. It is likely going though the processes required before entry. When a completed application is entered you will be sent a confirmation letter with your PIN number."

Was a quick reply so hopefully I will be in the system soon ....

DPS has 90 days, not 60, from the date the receive a completed application to either issue, deny or tell you they need more time.

That said, your letter was very respectful, hope you get issued soon.

We just moved and I need to change my home address on my CHL packet. (I will change my Driver's License online immediately after I send this email to you).

What do I need to do in order to complete this process? My CHL packet is currently in the "Processing Application" phase.
