She is much better today. I actually tried to let her sleep in the bedroom on the floor last night, but kept trying to jump into bed with us. Nothing like having 80#'s jump in the middle of your stomach to wake you up!
Glad your pet recovered. I had that happen to a male cat a couple of years back. Didn't groom, himself, looked like hell. He wouldn't eat or drink. He wasn't really MY cat, as much as I was HIS provider. He was just a stray kitten that it hung around and grown into an adult male over the years. But I did give him his yearly shots and vaccinations.
The vet wanted to do all kind of expensive tests on him, and I said no. I took him home and force fed him and gave him water by force and gave him antibiotics three times a day by syringe. He was so weak, he didn't even resist.
Every morning when I went out to the garage I figured I was going to find him dead. Then, one day he started to fight me when I was forcing food and water into him via syringe, and I knew he was going to be okay.
He made it and still lives on the porch!
