This is the girl that keeps me company. She is about 1.5 years old, weighs about 90#, and thinks she is a lapdog. Not much of a watchdog, but she is scary big and strong & you will be licked, for sure!

I got her and her sister from a fellow TGT member in April of 2020, when they would fit in a shoe box! Her sis went to a very nice, wealthy family with two young boys who spoil her rotten - like T-Bone steak once a week, rotten!
Josie (Sister Mary Josephine, we jokingly call her), was so named after Josephine Earp.
Her sister had the name "Reba" within hours of picking her up near San Antonio, because she was also a redhead and SANG the entire trip back to Houston. Reba McEntire and Josephine Marcus - both good girls, even if they are originally from Rhodesia!

    skf,

We just went through a time of great illness for our critter.

Vet couldn't figure out what was wrong.

Ultimately had to force feed/water her 3 times daily for a week and damn if she didn't slowly recover.

    Now back in good health.

    Yours is a real beauty!

Glad your pet recovered. I had that happen to a male cat a couple of years back. Didn't groom, himself, looked like hell. He wouldn't eat or drink. He wasn't really MY cat, as much as I was HIS provider. He was just a stray kitten that it hung around and grown into an adult male over the years. But I did give him his yearly shots and vaccinations.

The vet wanted to do all kind of expensive tests on him, and I said no. I took him home and force fed him and gave him water by force and gave him antibiotics three times a day by syringe. He was so weak, he didn't even resist.
Every morning when I went out to the garage I figured I was going to find him dead. Then, one day he started to fight me when I was forcing food and water into him via syringe, and I knew he was going to be okay.
He made it and still lives on the porch!
