    Sig Emperor Scorpion
    20170811_184812.jpg

Shooting it for the first time in the morning

I opted to not get one with the rail.
    My observations so far

    Pros
    Factory Night Sights
Undercut where the grip meets the trigger guard is a nice touch
    G10 Grips are amazing.
    Great beavertail with speed bump

    Cons
Trigger so far, is fair to good, maybe it will lighten up with some break in
Dealer would not come down on price, so I had to pay the tagged price.
I guess Sig wants them to stay with the program on pricing.
Still it was a fair price when I checked what I could buy online for and pay shipping and transfer
    Hurley's Gold

Nice. I really like the G10 grips on my P229. Came close to getting the Scorpion but bought my first (and only) Colt 1911. Went with the rail on mine. Probably would've been happy with the Sig. Sig makes a great gun.

I had one guy say it wasn't a "real" 1911 because of the external extractor:banghead:

Wow. She is Really nice looking. Congrats!!!
I like the bobed spring housing and the grip flows nicely. Front checker and trigger. Looks very sweet.

have not shot one yet, but I hear they are the best bang for the buck in that price range. Traditionalists won't like the external extractor, and the models with the recess/contoured slide.... whatever lol

I sure do like that finish. And the black accents look great too! Hope it shoots as good as it looks. I am very pleased with my Sig 1911.

I took it out this evening for the 2nd time and ran a few more mags through it.
The trigger is starting to smooth out and I really like how it shoots
Tonight I ran 200 gr Berry's with 4756 and it made a great target load

There are lots of features available on 1911s today that weren't on the original 1911 model. Frankly, the external extractor doesn't bother me at all...SIG and S&W make it work (I think it got the bad rap from Kimber's attempt at an external extractor that didn't work.) I wouldn't pay any attention to the nay sayers...opinions are like rear ends: everyone has one, and most of them stink.
